The NorthmanX is a small fixed blade knife designed to replace the cutting tool carried in your pocket. The NorthmanX is quickly deployable and rugged enough for backcountry use, and this blade is also great for combatives. It has the same blade length as the Northman but a longer handle.
Blade Length: 3 1/2 inches
Handle Length: 3 13/16 inches
Overall Length: 7 5/16 inches
Blade Thickness: 3/16 inch
Weight: 4.6oz
Pocket Firesheath Weight: 1.7 oz
Steel Type: M390
The newest blade in the Amtac Blades lineup features a 3.5 inch flat ground blade with a swedge starting 1.5 inches from the handle. This blade geometry allows for great thrusting ability and strength. The 1.5 inches of spine directly forward of the handle has a semi sharp 90° angle to facilitate better striking of a ferro rod and other backcountry tasks. The handle of the NorthmanX is 3 3/4 inches long.
The NorthmanX blade is designed primarily for pocket carry and comes standard with a pocket firesheath, but there will be belt firesheaths available as a separate purchase. Due to larger handle, the NorthmanX facilities a more solid draw stroke when deployed from the belt sheath.
The blade, firesheath, trainer, and storage sheath are included.
Please note, due to the slight differences in blade geometry between the Northman and the NorthmanX, the NorthmanX is not compatible with the sheaths for the Upgraded Northman.

Benefits of the Firesheath (shown on a Northman)
Having the ability to start a fire is part of being responsible and prepared. If you carry Amtac Blades you will always have the tools to do this in your pocket.
A ferro rod is molded into the side of the Kydex sheath. The back of the sheath is covered with two pieces of soft velcro, creating a very thin pocket. You can use this pocket to store a micro ziplock bag with tinder, or some cash, a key, etc..
